Bucuria Ajutorului Foundation from Urlati
Part of the proceeds from the Wine Marathon powered by OMV Petrom 2025 will be donated to the Bucuria Ajutorului Foundation in Urlați.
Created in 2012, the Bucuria Ajutorului Foundation aims to prevent school dropout and social exclusion of children in difficulty, by providing social, educational and psychological services to 25 children in the area.
The children come to the center every day, where they receive food, clothing and school supplies and are helped with their homework, in a warm and friendly environment created by kind-hearted volunteers.
The Foundation’s day center has its own farm with an orchard, vegetable garden, poultry and animals (including a pony much loved by the children).
In 2018, Maratonul Vinului contributed to the construction of the gazebo in the center’s courtyard and in 2017 to the roofing of the canteen at the Bucuria Ajutorului-Urlați Foundation, which provides daily food for 30 children from disadvantaged families.
In 2016, Maratonul Vinului benefited from the support of the Bucuria Ajutorului-Urlați Foundation with the amount of 1,100 euros, money that was used to build a football field completed just before Easter. Right inside the settlement at Valea Cângului Street no. 64, Urlați, the father, with our help and supported by several sponsors, managed to build a 200 square meter sports field for the little ones who here remember that they have to live their childhood, far from the worries and needs of home. 5 years ago, these children were at risk of abandonment, but now, they come with pleasure to do their homework, eat and play at the St. Stelian center. None of what is here, the cafeteria, the laundry, the football field and other utilities, as well as the daily meals for the children, would have been possible without the help of kind-hearted people, whom the parent attracts like a magnet from everywhere. The last renovation was carried out this year and consisted of paving with rubber tiles, placed on the edge of the field for the safety of the little ones.
In 2015, Maratonul Vinului contributed 1600 euros to equip the center’s new cafeteria, where over 30 children from disadvantaged families in the city of Urlati eat daily.
In 2014, Maratonul Vinului’s donation consisted of a high-performance solar water heating system, worth 2000 euros. With this new system, the center now enjoys a free source of renewable energy. What’s more, this system also works in winter.
The foundation also benefited from our support in 2013, when we covered part of the cost of installing a new roof for its center in Urlați.

Every day, I look towards a horizon of hope, even if my path is strewn with difficult obstacles.
I am Sarah Jugănaru, I am only 4 and a half years old, but my heart is already full of courage and the desire to live every moment with joy. Since I came into the world, CLOVES syndrome has been part of my story – an invisible enemy that taught me what it means to fight with all my strength for a better life. I have gone through moments of pain and fear, days when my smile was hidden behind tears, but each difficult moment has also brought me a lesson in courage and love.
This year, my fight will intensify: three major surgeries are coming, two of which are on my hips, which will mean long periods of immobilization. Even if the cast will limit my steps, my heart will not stop dreaming of the days when I will be able to run and play without worries.

Asociația Magic
Asociația Magic is a community of good that supports seriously ill children and their families through a network of projects designed to provide them with medical, emotional and financial support. For over a decade, Magic has been bringing comfort and hope to those going through the hardest trials, offering them not only concrete help, but also the conviction that they are not alone in their struggle.
One of the Association’s most famous projects is MagiCAMP, a special camp for children diagnosed with oncological diseases, serious burns or who have suffered major losses in their family. For these children, who spend much of their time in hospitals or under difficult treatments, MagiCAMP is a place of joy, where worry and fear are replaced by laughter, friendship and adventure.
Here, children participate in creative activities, zip-lining adventures, horseback riding, outdoor games, art workshops and even special play therapy sessions, all designed to restore their confidence and give them a well-deserved break from fighting the disease. At the camp, they discover not only fun, but also the courage to move forward, inspired by volunteers and other children who have gone through similar experiences.
By participating in the Wine Marathon, each cyclist pedals not only for the challenge of the competition, but also for a noble cause: supporting the children in MagiCAMP. Every kilometer traveled means an extra step towards good, a real help for those children who need our support.
